We believe that big changes come in small steps. To develop your (self) awareness is mostly the first step towards changing your habits or behavioural patterns. The yoga practice ‘on the mat’ provides you with many learning opportunities. Next to the physical, mental-emotional and spiritual benefits of the practice, we can use the experiences on the mat to gain deeper insights into our thoughts and behaviour. For example: practicing yoga can enhance early recognition of stress signals. It allows you to experience alignment principles of the body leading to inner calm. We work with the breath to process sensations of (mental) resistance. Through intention-setting and intention implementation we allow clarity to arise. The spiritual side of the practice and practicing in a group can enhance your sense of belonging.

Shortly, we will guide you to become the architect of your life and health (again). Coaching sessions in combination with the physical yoga practice will generally lead to increased awareness, deeper insights into thought and behavioural patterns and practical tools and instruments towards an embedded self-care routine.

EXPERIENCE

We underestimate how much our brains and bodies can do without thinking. You are much more than your conscious self. This is why a learning experience at YOOKE starts with body poses, breathwork and meditation techniques. This step is all about tipping your toes in the water,  assessing your needs, developing more bodily awareness and/or deepening your yoga practice.

After your intake we will create a yoga and coaching program for you (individual or in a group). This way you will experience several styles of the yoga practice, learn more about yoga philosophy and work on your intention and desired learning outcomes for the program. 

EXPLORE

Based upon your needs, desired learning outcomes and intentions you will take a deep dive into the yoga style of your choice, and the coaching will be intensified. In the coaching program we will work with different tools and instruments but the foundation is always progress-oriented coaching, taking small steps towards the desired outcomes.
