Vinyasa Flow (Intermediate)
- Dynamic class (yes, you will sweat :-)), 75 / 90 minutes
- Sun Salutations, warrior poses and variations on basic postures
- Forward bends, twists, balances and inversions
- Breath-work (pranayama) and yoga philosophy
A dynamic 75 or 90 minute-class in which postures are sequenced into a flow of movement and breath. A vinyasa flow class focuses on dynamics, flexibility and strength. Sun Salutations and Warrior Poses (Surya A and B) are central sequences in every vinyasa class. This intermediate class contains sequences of forward bends, twists, backbends, balances and inversions. To deepen your vinyasa practice the teacher will guide you into variations on basic postures. We focus on regulating and releasing your breath; this way your practice becomes a ‘meditation in action’. Your mind calms down. You will feel space and relaxation in your body and mind. Based upon the tradition of pranayama we practice different breathing techniques. We end class with a relaxation posture (savasana) for integration of body, mind and soul. This class is for you with at least 6 months of experience in a Vinyasa Flow Basics class, or when you have similar experience in the practice of yoga.
