Vinyasa Flow (Intermediation)

A dynamic 75- or 90-minute class in which postures (asanas) follow one another in a flow of movement and breathing. In vinyasa flow, the focus is on dynamism and strength. Sun salutations and warrior postures are a central part of a vinyasa flow class (Surya A and B). Each class includes sequences of forward bends, backward bends, twists, balance postures and inversions. In depth, the teacher offers variations on the postures taught in Vinyasa Flow basics. The focus is on regulating or releasing the breath so that the physical practice becomes a 'meditation in action'. Your thoughts are calmed and your body and mind become calm. From the tradition of pranayama we deepen various breathing techniques. We conclude the class with a relaxation pose (savasana) in which you integrate the entire experience of the class in body and mind. This class is suitable for you if you have practiced VINYASA FLOW basics for at least six months, or have similar experience with yoga.
