Hi there, I’m Yeliz!
I carry the Aegean coast of Turkey and the Rhodope Mountains of Bulgaria in my heart, and have called Amsterdam home for more than ten years now.
This multiplicity is visible across my life: Alongside my culinary life as a chef and storyteller, I’m also a learning designer and facilitator whose work in sustainability spans more than a decade. I brought groups together in conferences and learning journeys organized for a wide range of organizations, from entrepreneurial communities in the Netherlands and across Europe to agricultural and rural development programmes in Africa, as well as high-level international gatherings such as COPs.
Yoga became my sanctuary in my early 20s. It is my portal to explore depths of my body and mind alike. When life hits hardest, it is yoga that holds space for me, that helps me transform what I am going through and grow into new inner dimensions through it. Yoga is my constant mirror, really, and reason of gratitude.
Studio 108 also feels like a sanctuary. The moment I step into the space, I find a sense of serenity, both joyful and grounded at once. It’s beautiful and neat, the people are respectful and interested, and the teachers are devoted to yoga philosophy and actually walk the talk. It feels like the right community to be part of, to contribute to, and to be nourished by, and that’s why I decided to become a karma yogi.
You can find me at the studio or at one of my pop up dinners happening in Amsterdam. In both cases, I will have lots of smiles to share.
