His initial interest in yoga and Eastern philosophy was sparked through music. In his childhood he got infused with The Beatles and it was their Indian influences and the works of George Harrison in particular that felt strangely familiar. This familiarity was later fuelled by Kula Shaker.

Yet it took Tobias several years into this lifetime and further journeys out of the German hinterland and periods of living abroad, to finally arrive in Amsterdam in 2011, where it first stepped foot into a yoga studio. That was Svaha Yoga and it was a Kirtan night. He immediately felt at home.

It is here that his yoga journey started. With each twist and turn that life presented off the mat, the mat became more and more magnetic and Tobias ended up in a 500+ hour teacher training at Svaha Yoga. After several workshops, courses and retreats with various teachers and a couple visits to India, Tobias happily shares his experience and knowledge since 2015 at some studios in Amsterdam. And his deepened familiarity with philosophy and mantra also fuels back into his own music with the moody orchestra.

Along the way, he met Sharon and is now happy to also serve at Studio 108. You can join Tobias on Friday mornings 9:15 for a yoga basics class with profound alignment through musical journeys. And at 11:15 Tobias calming voice will guide you through an hour of relaxing flow to be ready for the weekend.
